Mini-splits are a smart fix for a room that never gets comfortable, a basement, a garage, an addition, or an older home without ducts. The standard wall unit is the most common, but we also install ceiling units. They work the same way. Some people just prefer the look of a unit flush in the ceiling, even though it takes a little more work and costs a bit more.

Mini-Split Questions

What homeowners ask about going ductless.

What's the difference between a mini-split and a ductless system?

Usually nothing. Both terms mean a ductless split system: an outdoor unit connected to one or more indoor units by refrigerant lines. Wall-mounted and ceiling units are two styles of it. They work the same way; the difference is how they look.

How many indoor units do I need?

It depends on the rooms and how open your layout is. We plan it during the visit.

Do mini-splits heat too?

Many mini-splits are heat pumps that heat as well as cool. We’ll tell you which models fit your home and our Colorado winters.

Can you install a mini-split in an addition or garage?
